AI is a tool, not a substitute for thinking. We use Claude, Cursor, and Perplexity as force multipliers — for research, code suggestions, and faster iteration — but the architecture, the judgment calls, and the quality bar are ours.
The team is small and flat. Low overhead, fast iteration, direct access to the people actually building. No layers of project management between you and the code.

Unlike most dev shops, every B17 Studios product carries iOSE-DNA — a framework for ethical AI interaction. Constitutional AI principles, State Detection that understands the user's emotional state, and usage tracking that prevents overuse rather than encouraging it.
This isn't marketing — it's architecture. The same modules are live in Dinbot today, and they become part of everything we build from here.
Small team. Our own terms.
B17 Studios is a small team, privately owned by B17 Invest AS. No external investors, no VC pressure — we build on our own terms, at our own pace.
We're based in Gamle Fredrikstad, Østfold, but our products serve customers globally.
External work is taken selectively. The internal portfolio comes first. But when we do take on client work, you get the same team and the same tech stack that builds our own products.
Honest pricing, no surprises.
For most projects we don't bill by the hour. We scope, agree on a price, and deliver. Three kinds of engagement:
Project
Fixed price for a defined deliverable. Typically 50–300k NOK depending on scope. You know exactly what you get and what it costs.
Advisory
Hourly for architecture reviews and technical due diligence. For when you need an independent perspective before a major decision.
Maintenance
Monthly retainer for operations, support, and continued development of existing systems. Predictable and flexible.
